  4. Update student characteristics, if applicable
  5. Submit designated name, if applicable
  6. Review fall 2024 courses in Course Atlas
  7. Sign Financial Responsibility Agreement
  8. Log into and begin regularly checking Emory email
  9. Download Emory Welcome app

  1. Emory Essentials Oxford Edition learning modules that need to be completed throughout the summer open in Canvas

June 1
  1. Deadline to submit housing application via myhousing portal
  2. Math placement exam opens in Canvas
  3. Placement exams open for chemistry, first-year writing, and global languages
  4. Name Coach opens in Canvas
  5. First-year advising appointments available through Advising Support Center (Review Emory Essentials first!)
June 5
  1. Complete I-10/DS-2019 Request 
June 15
  1. Complete FERPA parental consent form (available May 10)
  2. Submit EmoryCard photo
  3. Deadline to register for a parking permit if you plan to bring a vehicle to campus. 
July
July 1
  1. Submit required student health and immunization forms
  2. Submit AP/IB test scores and submit the Request for Approval of Test Credits form to the Oxford Registrar’s Office
  3. Mandatory health insurance verification online via OPUS
  4. Submit academic accommodations request to Accessibility Services, if applicable
  5. Download Oxford’s Guidebook for New Student Orientation (instructions to come)
July 9
  1. OPUS course shopping cart opens
  2. Attend a course planning session (open through August 9)
July 15
  1. Deadline to submit preferences for your required Discovery Seminar course
  2. Deadline to submit First-Year Advising Questionnaire
  3. Add parent/sponsor as bill payer in OPUS, if applicable
  4. Deadline for RSVP to International Student Welcome program
  5. Activate Handshake profile
  6. Housing assignments are expected to be available through my housing portal
  7. COFHE New Student Survey available (July 15- August 15)
August
August 1
  1. Submit your final high school transcript to
    Enrollment Services
  2. Submit college transcripts for classes taken before summer 2024
  3. Register for Oxford New Student Orientation 2024
  4. Submit request for Request for Approval of Transfer Credit to the Oxford Registrar's Office
  5. Placement exams (chemistry, math, first-year writing, and global languages) open in Canvas
  6. Emory Essentials Oxford Edition (all assignments in Canvas) are due
  7. Submit preferences for Orientation
  8. Deadline to schedule academic advising appointments
  9. Submit Letter of Consent (FERPA) form

  1. Course registration for first-year students

  1. Ignite Pre-Orientation Program
