Dates and deadlines you'll need to know before your start at Oxford College. If you are partaking in the Oxford Launch: London program, please refer to the London Launch Checklist.

Getting Started

  1. Retrieve NetID and password
  2. Set up DUO authentication
  3. Update personal and family/supporter information in OPUS
  4. Log into and begin regularly checking Emory email
  5. Download Emory Welcome App

  1. Oxford First Year Experience (FYE) Canvas course opens (learning modules that need to be completed throughout the summer)
June
June 1
  1. Deadline to submit housing application via MyHousing portal 
  2. Deadline to submit gap year request
  3. Deadline for students with diagnosed disabilities to submit housing accommodation requests
  4. Deadline to submit EmoryCard photo
  5. All placement exams (math, chemistry, first-year writing, and global languages) open in Canvas
June 5
  1. Deadline for International Students to complete I-20 Request (students who need additional time should contact globaloxford@emory.edu)

  1. Health Insurance Verification opens in OPUS

  1. Deadline to register for a parking permit if you plan to bring a vehicle to campus ($25 late fee will be charged if registration is completed after this date)

Deadline to register for Ignite Oxford Pre-Orientation if you would like to attend.
July
July 1
  1. Deadline to submit required student health and immunization forms
  2. Deadline to submit preferences for your required Discovery Seminar course 
  3. Deadline to submit AP/IB test scores and the Request for Approval of Test Credits form to the Oxford Registrar’s Office
    • We understand some test scores will not be released to students until after July 1, so we ask that students request for the testing organization to send scores to Oxford College as soon as their scores have been released. AP/IB credits will continue to be accepted after July 1. However, we cannot guarantee that requests submitted after July 1 will be processed prior to fall course registration in August. Be sure to send the scores directly to Oxford College (not Emory College/Emory University) for quicker processing.

  1. Housing assignments released through MyHousing portal
  2. Move-in timeslot signup available 
  3. Add parent/sponsor as bill payer in OPUS, if applicable
  4. Activate Handshake profile
  5. Accept/asdjust financial aid

  1. Deadline to complete all placement exams (chemistry, math, first-year writing, and global languages) in Canvas
  2. Deadline for students with diagnosed disabilities to submit academic accommodations request to Accessibility Services, if applicable

  1. Deadline to register for the free airport shuttle service for the International Student Welcome

  1. Deadline to submit your final high school transcript and college transcripts for classes taken before summer 2026
  2. Deadline to submit Request for Approval of Transfer Credit to the Oxford Registrar's Office
  3.  Deadline to schedule academic advising appointments

  1. Deadline for completing Part 1 of Empowered Choices. Empowered Choices is a three-module self-paced course that will be housed in our Canvas learning management system. Students will have access to complete the course starting August 1st.
