Center for Counseling and Wellbeing
The Center for Counseling and Wellbeing (CCW) is a place where your mental, emotional, and holistic wellbeing matter. College is a time of growth, transition, and discovery—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you’re looking for support, connection, or simply a space to pause and reflect, CCW is here for you.
What We Offer
Individual Counseling
Students can meet one-on-one with a licensed clinician to explore personal concerns, including:- Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
- Depression or mood concerns
- Identity exploration
- Relationship challenges
- Academic or performance pressure
- Life transitions
Our approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to you.
Group Counseling
Group spaces offer connection and shared understanding. These are facilitated by clinicians and bring together students navigating similar experiences.Common groups include:
- Anxiety and stress management
- Identity-based groups
- Relationship and interpersonal growth
- Skills-building and resilience
Many students find that group work helps them feel less alone while building meaningful community.
Workshops & Outreach
We provide workshops and campus programming focused on:- Mental health education
- Stress reduction and coping strategies
- Building resilience
- Healthy relationships
- Mindfulness and self-awareness
- Suicide prevention through QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper training
You’ll see us across campus—we believe wellbeing should be visible, accessible, and integrated into student life.
Consultation & Care Coordination
Not sure what you need? That’s okay.
We offer consultation to help you:
Identify the best level of care
Connect with off-campus providers if needed
Navigate referrals and resources
Our goal is to ensure you receive the right support, at the right time.
Crisis & Urgent Support
Support is available when you need it—day or night.
- 24/7 access to crisis support and care
- After hours call our main line (770-784-8394) and select option 1 to be connected
- Same-day support through walk-in hours (Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–4:00 PM)
Walk-in hours are available for both urgent concerns and non-urgent support—you do not have to be in crisis to be seen.
If you are in immediate distress, you are not expected to manage it alone. We are here to respond and help you access the level of care you need.
Getting Started
Once you arrive on campus, you can schedule an intake appointment to begin services. During this first meeting, we’ll learn more about you and help determine what kind of support would be most helpful.
Your privacy matters. Services at CCW are confidential, meaning your information is not shared outside of CCW without your permission, except in situations where there is a concern for safety or as required by law.
